The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at Gedo International University is committed to developing competent professionals who can contribute to the economic growth and effective management of organizations. We provide comprehensive education in economics, business administration, finance, accounting, and management to equip students with analytical, strategic, and leadership skills essential for the dynamic global and local markets.
Computer Studies
The Faculty of Computer Studies at Gedo International University is dedicated to advancing knowledge and skills in computing and information technology. We equip students with theoretical foundations and practical expertise across a broad range of disciplines, including computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, digital forensics, information systems, and computer engineering. Our goal is to produce innovative, ethical, and proficient professionals who contribute to the technological development of the region and beyond.

BACKGROUND
WHO WE ARE
Gedo International University (GIU) is a community-founded institution of higher learning, born from a shared vision of scholars, professionals, and leaders from the Gedo Region of Somalia. Following years of consultation, mobilization, and fundraising that began in 2009, GIU officially opened its doors on 14th May 2015. Established entirely through the dedication and support of Somali communities at home and abroad, and by the grace of God, the university stands as a testament to collective effort and commitment.
Today, GIU has grown into a vibrant academic hub with 5 faculties and over 38 departments, offering programs that combine academic excellence, research, and community service. Our graduates serve in key sectors across the Horn of Africa and beyond, as we continue to work toward our vision of leading the region in research, innovation, and human capital development.
